| i'm switching blog sites. as was pointed out by some people (wuttup Cas), and as was made evident by the constantly dying, constantly dead flooble chatterbox to the right, xanga is not the easiest blog to comment on. and since i enjoy feedback, it seemed logical to "move the party," as Wild 107.7 put it back in middle school.
also, xanga doesn't make it easy to search for old entries. you basically just have to keep browsing through pages until you find what you want.
that being said, follow me, dear readers, to a whole new URL, and continue reading my tales of lack of adventure.

see ya there.

| i have an ear infection in my right ear. if feels and sounds like it's blocked.
i feel bad for the horses in war movies.
the race between chewy chips ahoy and regular chips ahoy is a close one. unless milk is involved, then regular takes it, easily.
my neck is always cold.
a list of bookmarked websites on my browser toolbar: google, hotmail, gmail, youtube, facebook, narutofan.com, bleachworld.com, commonplace, commonplace_z, wikipedia, mininova, addictinggames.
ah, deadlines.
listen to "stuttering" by ben's brother. it's the song in the dentyne ice commercial. and yeah, ben's brother is the name of the band.
williams sonoma is cutting back hours, so i'm in the third of six days off in a row. it could possibly end up being more. i don't mind at all.
i feel boring. feeling bored is nothing new. i feel boring. as in uninteresting to other people. blog readers included. blog readers especially.
tv is underestimated as an art and overestimated as an evil. the same is true about video games, only to a much, much larger extent.
i'm not quite sure what to do with myself. more unsure than usual.

| sometimes when you go for so long without rain you forget how ill-prepared you are for it. once it comes down, you remember how bad your shoes are for puddles, how long your coat stays soaked, and, counting the umbrellas that are lost, broken, or loaned-and-never-returned, you remember that that leaves you with exactly zero. you remember the smell of wet asphalt, something old and nostalgic, and think maybe there's some comfort to be found in that. and then you remember how ridiculous that is. it's no comfort at all.

| And now for a new segment i'd like to call:
YOU USED TO BE COOL!!!
We have three subjects for y'all today. let's start with the one who has fell from grace the least.
1. GWEN STEFANI - i'm not saying your new songs are bad. they're very catchy. very poppy though. and i guess it's all relative, because hey... remember when you were a phenomenal ska singer? there has been nothing like Tragic Kingdom to hit mainstream before or since. "Don't Speak" is maybe one of my all time favorite songs. your voice was powerful and beyond unique, and it honestly doesn't show as much anymore, not on your new stuff. nowadays you sing songs that probly any other pop star could sing. it seems like you're more style-over-substance, and to me, that shit is bananas. you used to be cool!
2. E-40 - one of the first songs i actually liked on the radio was "sprinkle me." (shut up. it was a good song.) and back in middle school, when you did Rapper's Ball, you were cool. i even bought the CD single of "things'll never change," back when i used to buy CD singles. Then came the h**** movement (i won't even say the word). the genre was gimmicky, pop-for-the-sake-of-pop, and bay-for-sake-of bay (i also could've spelled it "yay," but not without throwing up in my mouth.) and YOU, fonzerelli, were the frontman of all that mess. now people around the country associate the bay area with this bastard mutant offspring of hip-hop. you used to be cool (and just to be absolutely clear, you're not anymore).
and for our grand finale........
3. R. KELLY - What. The. Fuck. nevermind "cool," you were a legitimate musician before. you sang "i believe i can fly"!!! and then, somebody somewhere flipped a switch and you transformed yourself into the most ghetto cliche you could. how are you gonna go from singing "you are my angel" with celine deion to doing "thoia thoing" (which is an abomination for numerous reasons). and it really seems like you're trying to sing songs using only 3 notes (i.e. "ignition"). and then there was that "booty" song, and "fiesta" and the nine following singles that all sounded like "fiesta," and then "trapped in the closet".... some people say that your stuff isn't meant to be serious, and that it's supposed to be funny. if that's the case, then i suppose you are, at least, a legitimate clown. you used to be cool, r. kelly... you used to be cool.

| i have until the end of february to submit my applications and spec scripts to nickelodeon and disney/abc. and so, here comes the pressure. i haven't had a deadline since may. not that i missed it. i do miss getting things done. cuz there hasn't been a lot of that in my life. so i do know that i'm writing an episode of the office. i'm HOPING i can submit the same spec script for both applications. and i do know that i want to get into the nickelodeon fellowship more than the disney/abc one. i'm not sure why... well, actually i guess i do. lets weigh pros and cons:
NICKELODEON:
PROS: -makes one of my favorite shows, Avatar: The Last Airbender -Still produces quality cartoons, many in 2D (a dying medium which is close to my heart, in an increasingly 3D world -Their range of productions is smaller, so you know what to expect, basically: either cartoons or youth-aimed live action sitcoms... CONS: -most of their youth-aimed live action sitcoms... well, i'm not really a fan. -nick isn't known for it's films, should i decide to try to break into that route
DISNEY/ABC
PROS: -makes more (and way better) motion pictures than nick -produces a wide range of shows, so i possibly have more opportunities CONS: -produces a wide range of shows, so i have no idea what show i could end up working for -abc is not known for its sitcoms... and disney, even less so -i've heard that disney treats their employees pretty badly -disney has virtually abandoned 2D animation -Zack -Cody
actually now that i weigh it out, i really wouldn't mind disney/abc. either fellowship would be great. but it seems as though disney/abc's strength is the hour drama (Lost, Desperate Housewives, etc.) and at the moment i want to try getting into comedy. and i'd rather write for Nick cartoons than the Disney Channel or ABC.
